What is proposed on site?
We are proposing:
- 43 new homes, 40% (17) of which will be affordable to meet local demand.
- Vehicle access from Orchard Road
- Garage and/or driveway parking for every home, as well as additional on-street parking bays for visitors
- Improved connections to the public right of way network
- A community orchard
- A local area for play (LAP)
- Enhancements to the local drainage system, including an attenuation pond and foul water pumping station

What are the next steps?
Public consultation
Tuesday 1st April to Tuesday 22nd April 2025Every residential and business address in Axbridge has been sent an information postcard inviting them to have their say.
Feedback review
April 2025 to May 2025Once the consultation is closed, Strongvox Homes and their team will review the feedback received and finalise the plans accordingly.
Planning application submission
June 2025A planning application will be submitted to Somerset Council. Axbridge Town Council will hold a public meeting to consider its response to the application once it has been formally submitted.
